Also changed one of my powerbeads which was shutting off at night to run all day. It seems to help. The problem areas don't seem to be as big and noticeable anymore. I also think doing a big water change with Purified sea water helped immensely. I know it can be a costly change but I find doing a water change with this stuff every once in a while helps my corals. Thanks again for all the help.

What kind of water do you usually use? I was using treated tap water in my first tank and got so much nuscance algae that I got rid of it. I switched to filtered water (could get 5g RO water for $2 at my local convenience store) and that has helped. I have an RODI unit now.

I'm using caribsea sea-pure sea water. When I'm not using that, I use instant ocean reef crystals and filtered tap water from a beam filter under my sink along with Prime

Might be $200 after shipping and exchange, etc.

I was leaning toward actually getting a bulk reef supply one.
