So here's the thing. I basically got tired of tank divider after tank divider failing to hold back all fish especially fry. I tried different store bought dividers and other DIY methods but in the end they all failed and looked ugly. So to make sure I have one that works and does not look ugly and makes good use of space. I decided to make a glass divider and silicone it in place. I used 1/4 inch glass and marina silicone. Now I finally have a tank divider that works and looks nice. I have done 2 tanks and here is pictures of the tanks before there set up. Will post pictures of the tanks soon as both are up and running. Attachments:

Looks good guppyguy, are you going to be running two separate filters on each of those (presumably sponge filters) or are you going to put a HOB right between the dividers to disperse the flow (then again that might cause problems if only one side has intake? Looks good regardless and hope to see the tanks up and running soon!

So this is the second divided tank now fully planted and aqua-scaped. I changed my mind and just could not keep the one tank bare bottom. It was too tempting to want to aquascape it. But unlike the first divided tank I used 2 very different substrates on either side. On the left is a very small natural gravel with stone hardscape with flora featuring dwarf java fern, anubias congensis, and hornwort. No rooted plants on this side so I do not need a plant substrate. On the right I am using for the first time the third type of ADA Aquasoil. And I already have a tank using amazonia, and malaya, this newest one is the red africana aquasoil. On that side I feature stone and driftwood hardscape, and for flora featuring, dwarf hairgrass, bucephlandra species Icarus Bell on the driftwood and a bit of hornwort. The hornwort is there to shade the slow growing plants on either side to help reduce algae growing on the slow growing leaves. I am still debating other plants species for the right side but what it is has to be short low growing plants and I am still trying to figure out my best options. But this is freshly set up yesterday.

Awesome job. Where did you get your glass to put inside the tanks?

Awesome job. Where did you get your glass to put inside the tanks? I measured the inside dimensions and had a glass shop cut me 1/4 inch glass to size. It reinforces the tanks as well. There is no glass bowing in these tanks. And I just love these tanks.
