So right now I have brown algae on the rocks in my aquarium but I was curious if there is a way to make a different colour grow? I would prefer if it was some shade of green, could I steal some from someone else and introduce it or would that even work? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks guys!

well i have green algae massively growing in my tank FINALLY. i CAN tell you how i did it, but idk if it will work out the same.
all i did is, one i have a lamp, one of those standing ones with the bending lights on it. i but a LED swirly light bulb in there and bend the ligh untill it right in front of My java moss that im growing. (was trying to grow java moss faster, which worked, no the algae.) in 3 days i started seeing green on the glass there and in a month DAMN! so if you have that then go ahead and try that. it seems the intensive light works best
