Fry ID?

The two fry I posted about a few weeks ago have grown substantially. I just spotted ANOTHER fry today. I had no idea these critters were so prolific. If this keeps up, I'm going to have to consider selling some of them. That is not a bad problem to have! I suppose not, though it's hard to part with any. We had a hard time finding our original five. If they keep spawning, our 55 gallon will quickly become overstocked, though. Wish we had room for another aquarium.

This is really an incredible story . It's not often you see tetra fry surviving in a community tank . Your doing something right and I applaud you for it.

The best way of breeding fish is when you are not sure what you did to cause the breeding! This way you do not alter any of the conditions in your tank and still achieve a great success! I always like finding fry! It gives me the feeling that I achieved something!

Greetings! Well, the time has come. I keep finding fry. I've gone from my original 5 tetras to 10 (most adults) and I just scared up a couple more wee ones while I was rearranging some plants. I definitely need to look at selling some of these guys, as much as it pains me. I'm not sure if there is even much of a market for this species, since I never see them for sale. Thoughts?

A couple of (poor) photos of one of my adult males and adult females, for those unfamiliar with these guys.

Diamond tetras are so nice. They look really good in sunlight! They look good in low light. And as you've seen, they breed quite well in the local water.
