Oh gosh, and here I am whining about a small bout of food poisoning. I'm glad you're well, I can't imagine going through this myself!

Terrible story with a good ending. Glad you are on the mend Gabe. I sent you a pm before reading about this so disregard we can talk live rock and that stuff another time. As I am cycling my first saltwater, this will be in my head. I also noticed that Che had written on this toxin back in July as well, so I think it may be something we all don't disregard as back luck. Enjoy your New Year!

Thanks Curtis!
Other than anxiety after cleaning some tanks I feel fine. Made it trough 3 tanks before started to get a bit light headed. I guess putting my hands in aquarium water again this soon was too fast! LOL.

I should have used those tonight. At least Gabe inspired me to wear dollar store plastic gloves when fragging zoas tonight. Better than nothing.

I am ordering the full length coralia reef gloves from Angelfins. If anyone else want a pair, could save on shipping!

Wow I have been apsent from here for a while and this is the first saltwater thread I have read. Amazing story and very happy you are ok Gabe. I have been really thinking about starting a new tank as I tore mine done about a year or so ago. Can't believe how much I miss it and I wasn't all that successful at it either. This is something to think about before I plan my tank.

Welcome back!
Well it was an eye opener for sure! Good thing is, the more colourful the polyps are the less likely to have potent poison! With that said they still need to be handled carefully, but they might not be as deadly as my Texas Trash!
