I am always happy every time a plant species flower for me. And in this case it is the first time anubias barteri caladiifolia has flowered for me. The tank specs for this tank are 15 gallon tall with Finnex Ray 2 LED lighting, partial surface covering with salvinia floating plants, ph of 7.2, heavily planted tank with internal filtration and small continuous current, and the plant has rooted into the eco complete plant substrate. Always take note of you tanks current conditions when a plant flowers for you so can keep a record of it. That way if some ask what your conditions were or you want to recreate the conditions in the future you can. Attachments:

Nice job , another flowering plant to add to your list . What do you think has the biggest impact on getting an anubius to flower , the ferts you add , temperature or lighting ?

Actually in this case I think it is the water flow, and nutrients it is getting from the substrate. It started to flower about a month after rooting into the substrate but it is hard to be sure what is directly responsible for it flowering. Either way I am happy.

That is very beautiful. I have never seen any anubias flower before. Does the flower last long or does it bloom for just a day or so ?

It certainly is and the stalk gradually rises up and flower slowly opens. The entire process take a couple weeks but the actual flower is only blooming for about 4 days before it starts to die back.

That would be a nice addition to the tank, how often do they flower?
