Marina Hang-On Breeding Box (Large) $17.24 on Amazon
I'm only going to review the large breeding box since that's the one I bought and the best bang for your buck.
Opening the box, you find attachments for the uplift tube assembly with a short piece of airline tubing, the leveling inserts to adjust the tilt when hanging off the tank, some attachments for rimless tanks, etc. The cover also has clips to slide in and out to secure for jumpers. Basically, they thought of everything. I honestly wasn't expecting this kind of quality. The whole chamber can be divided into 3 parts which is great if you have some fry and say an injured fish you need to isolate while it heals or what have you. You can remove the divisions which gives you 0.5 gallons of space which is rather decent for a temporary settlement.
Basically you'll need to provide air to the uplift tube from an air pump. The bubbles rise up the tube drawing water up and trickling out into the chamber. There is also an adjustment valve provided so you can regulate the air flow. On the other end of the chamber, there is an outlet where the water exits at the top and down a water fall back into the aquarium. There are two different sized gates provided to keep fry from escaping. If your fry aren't too small or you aren't using it for fry then you can use the gate with larger openings to increase the water flow in and out of the chamber.
Now, this isn't a chamber where the fry can escape to another area for live breeders (although you can probably rig something up). It's most useful for keeping the fry in while they grow up. The water is always circulating in and out of the chamber from the tank so in essence as long as you keep your water changes and nitrates under control in your tank, your fry will be in the same water as the (cycled) tank.
Overall, I'd rate this product a solid 9/10. Lost one point for not being advertised by a supermodel.
