I have the smaragdina set up to spawn right now. I won't be able to try until I can move some fish around (getting rid of some).

Well the fry scattered in the tank and then I never saw them again, I know the tank was the issue (it's a 55 gallon). Oh well, I am conditioning the pair again and will try to put them together tomorrow in a 5 gallon tank, has a ton of plants and good algae growth on the glass.

They did spawn again in the 5 gallon planted tank this time. I get the fry to free swimming then they start dying on me. I have bred fancy bettas before ( 10 yrs ago ). These guys are little more sensitive than the fancy types. I am giving the male a break right now as 2 spawnings in 2 weeks is a bit much. I will try again.
