That's a great setup . It would be so cool to have that tank at home .. You could spend hours watching it .... You and Andre are killing me with these video's .

Tank is cheap too... sells for under 100 in the US.

Well I definitely do not have the room for a tank like that!!! However I can see myself converting one of the 20G long tanks to a shell dweller tank for a bit! How big of a colony ofneolamprologus multifasciatus could I house in a tank that size?

My guess would be 6-8 in a 20 long.... and about 30 shells.

I see. So they are not like other cichlids in regards of like being overcrowded? I mean relatively speaking, most tanks I ever saw was way overstocked!

I think these guys take up like a 6" x 6" area on the floor for territory. Once they breed, I guess they will learn to share the space.

One interesting thing about shell dwellers is that they are constantly changing their tank by moving sand and burying and unburying shells . Fascinating to watch .
