I am at a total loss for what type of fish this is. I would really appreciate anyone giving your opinion as to what this fish is! Thank you for your time and opinions!

I think it is a old world cichlid of some type but that is all I think I know. Thank you for your time and your opinions!

Sunburst or gold peacock perhaps? Someone else ought to know better than I, but it's all I can find that's similar!

Funny thing is I received a group of Burundi Frontosa fry and it was with the group. When I asked the seller what it could be, he told me he gave me only Frontosa and that he was clueless as to what it could be. Thanks again my friend!

Thank you lesfromlakeshore, yes I think your right about it being interesting when it grows out. I now think except for the black markings that it is a Sunshine Peacock Aulonocara cichlid from Lake Malawi, Africa

I would say it is an Aulonocara Peacock, blotch hybrid variety There are lots of these hybrids around, Peacocks do not have blotch markings, but have been crossbred with other Lake Malawi cichlids that do

I think you nailed it also with the crossbred with other Lake Malawi cichlids.
