Hey Everyone,
I've been thinking about breeding something and would love to hear any good ideas you guys have??
I was thinking Dwarf Gourami's but am open to anything. They will be in a 29g tank fyi.
Thanks!

Gourami's were bred so much more in the past then they are now. I think breeding them would be super cool .

Paradise gourami if you can find a nice pair. I had a pair but the male went belly up all of a sudden. Really easy to breed and fun to watch. All I did was put an indian almond leaf on the surface and the male immediately built a nest. Probably don't have to separate the pair in a 29g as long as the female has a place to run and hide.

Hey Mitch! You have the same idea as me! I am trying to grow some panda garras to breeding size at the moment! As well as looking for Pseudogastromyzon cheni or Gastromyzon lepidogaster to mix in there with them! I just put the panda garras in their river bottom tank! Will see what will come of this project!

Wow panda garras are amazing little fish. That would be awesome to get some Pseudogastromyzon cheni's they love the fast water. I feel like most freshwater species I get these days need slow moving water but would like to set up a river tank eventually as well.
Phish - are you talking about Macropodus opercularis or something else?

Phish - are you talking about Macropodus opercularis or something else? Yes, Macropodus opercularis... the males have awesome parenting skills tending the bubble nests.
