Thanks and yeah I've kept both (once had 35 Embers in a 70GAL it was a wonderful sight) and wish to give either one a shot again.
After the holidays the final push and setup.

I can work with some of those, but I would love to see the other photos too and weigh all my options!

35 Embers, in a 70GAL tank. This is Phoenix, my custom 70 GAL during it's start up Phase in Saskatoon. Sadly, about 3 months after taking this photo, I was transferred to Winnipeg. I do have a video of this as well. I sure miss my Echinodorus quadricostatus, my favorite of all Sword Plants. Gary

Saturday Update 2.2 AP (2 Months, 2 Weeks After Planting)
Nothing new really to report. I simply opened up the tank, let the air exchange, sprayed down good (seems the plants are now working their magic when it comes to excess water) and resealed using the original Cling Wrap.
I plan to spray it down again tomorrow, and start getting things ready for filling.
Yes, I want to see water in here, it's gone long enough and the carpet of HC has filled in just as I wanted. The final purchases will be made this week and assembly will hopefully be at the end of this month or the start of next.
Once all the equipment is here, setup and I give it a test run (which means filling the tank, checking for leaks etc), I will drain, cover, and order Blyxa, which should be interesting.
What's left;
5Lb CO2 Cylinder Black 4/6mm Tubing (on it's way) Plantex CSM +B, NPK GLA Bubble Counter (External) Small Siphon Small Bucket Blyxa japonica
Really not much left.

Saturday Update 2.3 A.P. (2 Months, 3 Weeks After Planting)
As of this afternoon. Sharp eyes will notice something different.
Some patches of bare substrate remain, but in time I am sure they will fill in. I am going not to start transplanting as if I plan to fill it soon, they may end up as floaters. It's creeping along nicely, and I've started misting the Buce every other day again.
The plants are now soaking up any excess water without issue due to density. I did no trimming going to let the Staurogyne run it's course now, it's starting to grow horizontally now.

3, 3.1 and 3.2 A.P. (3 Months, 2 Weeks After Planting)Oh my, it's been this long?! Amazing how quickly my work can consume my time especially at the beginning of the year. Something wonderful has happened -- yesterday, I retweaked the plumbing and filled the tank. Yes Gabe, there is water in there.
By Noon yesterday, the plumbing aspect was complete, tank was filled with water, and filter turned on, sadly I've realized a few things (which requires a small adventure this evening);
- The heater I purchased is of the "under gravel" variety, I need something that is not. Aquamania before Petsmart to find something
- The "flow valves" I purchased are the total wrong size of the output side. So I have to devise another method when cleaning the canister. I have an idea
- Dechlor, Flourish Excel, a small Bucket, a small siphon I need... badly
- Plantex CSM+B, NPK is being ordered today
- 5LB CO2 Canister is being ordered today
- Need to order 3 Blyxa japonica with heat packs. I'll UPS or FedEx it to ensure it's actually delivered
I took some photos with my phone yesterday, will post them here this evening, as I am here in Canada for the next month. Going to get some good DSLR shots.
I'm with Gabe, it's nice to have water in it. Now the next phase -- trimming the HC.. should be a messy adventure.

Did my first trimming (or at least attempt with my Shrek-like fingers) yesterday and discovered a few things; - I need a smaller pair of just curved scissors
- I need a smaller pair of just curved tweezers
- Big curved waved scissors highlight my obvious lack of co-ordination
- Big curved Pinsettes highlight my obvious lack of co-ordination
- After trimming some of the HC, I really need that siphon and small bucket
- Working with net and patience to scoop up floating pieces of HC requires patience that I obviously don't have
Though it does look a little neater, there are places I have missed, I would make a terrible Barber. I'll attempt to get out and actually hit an LFS to get some supplies (Dechlor is also on the list)
Going to fix the flow issue with the SunSun 603B. Keeping all layers of sponge pads reduces flow to a dangerous level. I need to add Ceramic noodles and a media bag to the list. Aquamania, you are going to require to supply me with a shopping cart...

Photo period is down to 10 hrs single light (12pm to 10pm), 6hrs double light (2pm to 8pm). Starting to see traces of a possible algae issue. My CO2 and Ferts have somehow been victims of Cold Weather and Customs. Sigh.
