Well we all been there! Tank taken over by the very unsightly planaria worms. Random photo from the internet so everyone know what I am talking about. Here is one of my pleco grow out tank! If you zoom in you can see hundreds of the little unsightly worms. Of course this outbreak is due to over feeding the fry. Well here is my first attempt to wipe them out! Supposed to be great for planaria. 1/2 tsp to 250 ml of water is the recommended dose! Here is the tank after 48 hours At this point I repeated the dose for another 48 hours with the same lack of results. 80% water change for two days, and I’m ready for Panacur C. The dosage is 0.1 gram for every 10 gallons. Or 3/8 tsp to 250 ml of water! Than dose 5ml to 5.5 gal. of water. My experience was that it is extremely difficult to mix the Panacur with water!!! The more you powder it the easier it is!!! 24 hours all planaria was gone!!! Fish was fine, snails took some damage but recovered after a while! However the most important thing is that the planaria was done! I did a 50% water change for two days, and repeated the treatment after a week to make sure that I get the newly hatched worms too! Hope this helps someone. I’m waiting for the results of Panacur damage on shrimp... I’ll update when I have it!

Where did you source the levamisole Gabe? Was it before the shut down of medications?

I forgot to put the dossing. You would only dose 5 ml to a 5.5 gal tank. Thank you Christopher for pointing this out! I corrected it now!
