This is my new set up. A first layer of laterite sand mix. With the rest of the substrate being sand with patches of river gravel. All new plants in here. Jungle val across the back, along with wisteria, and a amazon sword. Also have luwigia repens crypt lutea. crypt wendtii green, (my new rare crypt moehlmanni) and tied to branches is a mix of java and christmas moss. Fish include 5 neons, 5 orchid endlers, pair or blue coral platys and 3 Paleatus cory cats. Attachments:

looks really great! I like the use of the sticks, it does look like roots as you were saying previously.

this take having been set up for a few weeks. I am showing the plant growth. Pretty much everything has growth but most extreme is the wisteria, ludwigia repens, java moss and Christmas moss. This tank also has the plantguy ferts. Attachments:
