Is the percentage of successful offspring increased dramatically with these or is it more so the female isn't bothered with holding? Just curious where the advantage lies.

It's depend on how early u strip the females and how strong the air flows. Harder air flow will cause the eggs to bounce around and hit each other causing it to bruise and causing less chance of having a high percentage of healthy eggs. I say if u striped the female early, there's 60% chance of having good eggs due to all eggs not fully fertilized. Let her hold about a week should be good to strip and discard the white (bad) eggs. Remember this sometime female will spit out the eggs regardless in isolation or not if she's a first timer.

also stripping the female of the eggs is healthier for her as she wont eat while holding the eggs/fry
