Im they type of guy that gets sucked into every DIY video on Youtube... from "canning food for doomsday" to transfering photos to blocks of wood. Here are a few filters I have made over the hollidays. The first one is a tiny filter I made for my 2gal 'kritter keeper' I made it for my danio fry, and they did well. (until the furnace went...) its a standard UGF uplift tube, cut to size, capped off with some fine screen, and filled with a piece of lava rock, coarse sponge, and some floss. (few pebbles to hold it all in.) Powered by a single airstone. The Next two filters started out looking like this : The first one, Standard "corner filter style... with "stinted glass" bio media a pot scrubber, and floss.. and last but not least... My Favourite one to watch, I made a fluidized bed bio filter for under $2 Cheers!
