Hey Guys,
I recently picked up some candy cane coral from my LFS. I am having trouble getting this coral to open. I have moved the coral in multiple places, high light, low light, more flow, less flow. Nothing seems to work and I'm afraid ill lose it. Can anyone help me out? I also have other LPS corals that are doing great. Ive just never had any luck with Candy Cane coral.
Thanks in advance

Hmmm, mine are relatively high light and medium flow. Not sure what they normally like though.
Are the heads receeding, or just not opening up? Are your parameters OK? If they are receeding, you may want to get it to another tank to try and save it...just a thought.

It looks like it's receding. Going to move it into my bigger system.

Got my candy cane back from Admin. They were doing great and now the heads have started receding again. All of my parameters seem ok and my alkalinity is within it's expected range( I had Admin test it for me). All my other corals are doing fine. My current location in the tank is at the bottom, medium flow.

Hmm the piece you left with me seems to be doing fine. However my green acro/slimer is starting to bleach

Yeah, I can't figure it out. I have tried moving my power heads around to change flow and nothing has helped. I just tried feeding it, so we'll see if that helped

Is anything bothering it? Your decorator crab maybe?
