It is always exciting when you get a plant to flower in your aquarium and even more exciting when its a species that is your first time getting to flower. I am more than happy about this. I have included pics of the plant, the flower bud, the flower partially opened and the flower fully opened. The craziest part is the flower stalk grew to just over 3 feet long and is wrapped around and around floating on the waters surface then the flower came up threw the opening at the back of tank behind my glass lid. The joys of this hobby.

I just got my second aponogeton species to flower. My aponogeton undalatus is now flowering. It is a much smaller species than the aponogeton ulvaceus with beautiful orange and green leaves.
