Hi, my name is Sarah. I am new to Windsor and a long time fish hobbyist. My new 120g will be arriving in august and I am unsure of where to go for supplies around here. Any friends I can make and advice on the best places will be very much welcome.
I will be setting up a planted tank and have no idea where to start looking in Windsor lol

Welcome! For plants Aqua Animania usually has some good low light ones like anubias or java fern; us fellow hobbyist have a lot to offer. If you want high light plants I have plenty!

Hi, welcome to the forum and to Windsor. Our club has a mini auction every month which usually features lots of plants.

Welcome to Windsor and the forum. For plants I'd post what you're looking for right here on the forum. Lots of users are keeping and selling plants. Better selection than any of the LFS though you will find the odd gem in the stores. To follow up on what Les mentioned, there were a large number of plant species on tap today at the club auction and even more amongst the members. For supplies I suppose it depends on what you need. Since you have time to prepare, you may want to conduct some research between costs online vs local pricing. I believe most of the local stores carry everything you need to get setup again, however there can be specials found online.

Thank you all for the quick response and advice. I will be sure to check out the auctions and do some research while I prepare the new set up. I would prefer local sales to online so I can really see what I'm purchasing.
On a side note could anyone point me in the right direction to purchase an FX6? Again I'd like to shop local if given the option to avoid online. I know of the one place on walker but I feel they may be over priced in some of their products.
Thanks again!

You could call Sam's Pampered Pets in Belle River, Aqua Animania on Tecumseh Rd, Ruffin's Pets in Leamington, Aquarium Windsor on Ouellette. If they don't have it in stock, I'm sure they could bring one in for you. However, if they need to order it in, then you may be able to find it from an online source at a much cheaper price. It amounts to the same thing, with the exception of the product showing up at your door and avoiding another "middle man" who will need to mark it up to be profitable. Maybe one of the LFS would be willing to price match. Even better!
Click on the following thread for a list of their phone numbers and addresses. Ignore Ace Aquatics as they're out of business. windsoraquaria.proboards.com/thread/911/current-local-area-fish-stores

Welcome to Windsor and the Forum! I know it has been mentioned already but for plants I would totally recommend coming to a meeting. The quality and price of the plants on auction and in the raffle can't be beat!

Currently, there are only 2 suppliers in Windsor. (assuming ACE did close its doors). Petsmart, national chain and Corbret's. (hide your wallet)
Good luck

Welcome to the forum, I would definitely recommend going to the club auctions because while they are small you can usually pick up some premium stuff for a very reasonable price. Definitely make sure to post some pics of the 120 when you get it set up, always great to see another planted landscape!
