Alternanthera Reineckii Mini is the miniature version of alternanthera and has more compact growth and slower rate of growth. This plant is best used in smaller aquariums or in a larger aquarium as a foreground plants or even as a dense carpet of red-violet leaves around 5cm high. This plant is hungry for light and Co2 and will wilt and look pale if this is not given, if it is you will be rewarded with a lush, strong, healthy looking plant. Propagation is done by cutting and replanting in bunches, this can also be grown emersed. High light intensity and addition of CO2 improves the plants growth and overall appearance. The red plant looks great against light green plants and dark substrate.

Always wanted to try this plant, was looking into it recently. Looks great with its red contrast and its awesome that it stays relatively small

They had some of this last time I stopped in at aqua animania. I already have so so I didn't buy.
Only grows okay for me. For a punch of red I found Rotala Mini Butterflu is VERY punchy! and grows better for me.
