So I have 3 Finnex 48" lights that I have purchased from Amazon.ca. They are great for the cost and always wanted an LED lighting system but other than a DIY the costs were quite high until I ran across these. I wanted to get another light for a 30 Gal I was setting up at my work but they are now no where to be found on Amazon.ca and when I went to finnex.ca I was greeted with a disappointing message stating that "Finnex Products are no longer sold in the Canadian Marketplace. Sorry."
Man that is a big shame... I'm glad I picked up a few while I could. I sent a message via the finnex.net website about my disappointment.

Do they still distribute to the USA? You might be able to get it sent to the Detroit UPS store and then pick it up from there. All you have to do is pay a $5 holding fee at UPS plus the border toll (which can be countered by filling up on border gas - its super cheap) and presto you have something from the US. However I will caution with how much you bring over, I did a quick search on Amazon.com and saw the lights are still available BUT if you order more than 2 they might give you a hard time at the border (since normally you can only get away with $100-200 of goods coming back - this is just personal experience, I'm sure there are guidelines somewhere online). Hope it all works out, cheers!

This was Finnex's response to my inquiry: John (finnex) Oct 28 14:33Hello dp, We had no choice. Our products were originally certified for the Asian and European markets. It was brought to our attention later on that we needed a Canadian certification too. It's simply not cost effective for your market anymore. At one point we were planning to get your Canadian certification, but the demand there is just way too low.
Team FinnexAmazon.ca does sell other LED lights such as the Aquatic Life Edge but at a higher price point (45-50 dollars more).

That is so weird I just bought 7 Finnex LED lights over the summer from Amazon.ca. Now they say the demand is too low. What a bummer.
