Hoping to work on my frag tank this weekend. Will try and take some pics if I do.
Right now, frag tank is just a 30g tank. Planning on leaving that as the "sump" and for softies (mushrooms, leathers, GSP, kenya, cloves) and plumbing my 36X18X8 tank to that for zoas and palys. Really hope I have time to get it going. Thinking I will need to make some glass tops for both tanks, to keep the humidity down in the basement - bad enough with just the one tank.

The little frag rack I threw in the DT New Frag Tank "Sump" (ok, just the current 30g tank) And the new tank waiting to be plumbed in. Think I have all the parts now

Update - cut down an overflow box (OK, it had 2 sides, to more of a triangle now) and siliconed it in over the weekend. All plumbing done (will redo one hose to get the return to sit better). Filled with water and test circulation run done - all good. LED fixture hung tonight.
Need to get another extension cord and plug in the lights Need to make a shallow frag rack from egg crate (going bare bottom otherwise in the frag tank) Will have to monitor to ensure that heater can handle the extra water volume Have an aqualifter and timer to set up an ATO May need to downgrade the return pump, as the Mag 7 I have is dialed WAY down on the ball valve Traded some coral for another skimmer - may swap skimmers if I think it needs it.
Pretty small stuff at this point. Pic to come soon (when I get the lights in???)

Thanks - it's getting there. Have a lawnmower blenny in the frag sump as of tonight. New last night in my display, picked on by a bicolour blenny, jumped into the overflow. Took 20 minutes to get him outta there - in the basement for now. Really wanted him in the display though.

DANG - fragged all the zoas and palys that I plan to put into the display. Actually used gloves this time to avoid infecting my fingers..... FYI - gloves do NOT protect against accidental stabbing with a rusty old coral-goo covered frag knife.... Hope the peroxide and polysporin help.

Ouch Dan, you got to be more careful! Glad you have fragged the zoas for yourself! Let me know when you got a few extra polips of the scrambled eggs!

Nice choice.....will be awhile before those couple of polyps grow out. They are one of my favs though. Cuts are a little sore but I've had worse. Will try and post a pic once all 30 frags open. Lovin the z&p
