Kinda looks like cyano but odd place for it that stuff hates high flow area

It does look like cyano. I had that when I had old lights on too long....see the list I posted for hair algae for possible culprits. Cyano can be easier to get a handle on than nuiscance algae I think.

It does look like cyano bacteria! Usually better flow is the answer for getting rid of it! Very unusual place for it! I would scrub the power head and try a bit different angle flow for the sand bed!

Looks like cyano. I had it before- try removing as much manually, increase flow
