i try over and over again but guppies wont live!!!! i've checked my tank water, temp lighting everything and its all supposedly good for guppies. but they keep getting sick or just dieing!!! i bought some yesterday and although they are not dead yet, one has a white mouth (female) and another cant swim right (also female) the others seem to be doing fine. happy swimming playing but i'm done buying medicine for these guys. i've wasted hundreds of dollors on it and it never works grrr i dont understand how people keep these fish alive! everything else lives fine. forget it im goin back to rainbows

hi fishtastics , I remember talking to you last night about this. maybe glen (guppyguy) would be the one to talk to.my guppies do best in my hang ons. try salt baths instead of medication , keep temperature 7o to 75 degrees f , do not do water changes unless really necessary , drift wood to keep ph from getting too hight. try that and see what happends. good luck.

Why not try posting your water parameters? Also were the fish purchased from a store or a hobbyist? If you have the extra tanks, try quarantining all new fish for about a month prior to introduction to your primary tank. The source of your fish is very important to have an idea on its health. idk know what water perameters is. if its the test strips i dont buy those or use them

You may think that's insanity but it sure give me piece of mind when I don't have fish dying knowing water quality is kept to levels the fish need to survive. Side note... I've had my test kit for 4 yrs! Less than 5$ per year

I agree with the other guys on the test kits, you can get the strips too like you mentioned but they just aren't as accurate (although it will give you some idea). You mentioned spending hundreds of dollars on meds but if you spend a dozen dollars on some test strips it might prevent the purchase of future meds and future headaches. If you don't like the idea of testing what I would minimally bring the water into the LFS to be tested, if your water is fine they might give you replacement fish for free (within some time frame of course). All the best with the guppies and hopefully we get some pics of a tank full of them haha
