how can i get this effect without buying a co2 system as they are expensive? what products should i buy. i have no idea what i am doing when it comes to fertilizer. i just use these weird stones that last 3 months spose to fertilize the whole tanks. keep plants green an such??
i need some help with the fertilizing

Great tank and lovely growth,,,,,,,, as per My exp CO2 is actually a game changer for planted tank,,,,,it will take ur set up to next level,,,,,,,,r u using pressurized CO2 ??

It depends on many things, your lighting type and intensity, types of plants (low or high light) and type of substrate for starters.

i have a t8 24 inch standard 17 watt light but am looking to get a 30 watt or 40 watt very soon. im not sure if the plants are low or high light as i am new but i have java moss and java fern as well as a red and green plant i got from pet smart. my substrate is Sand my ph levels must be low as i have a lot of driftwood in the tank

Co2 is such a large component of a high light planted tank. It will definitely take your tank to the next level and this shows it. Great job Glen!

Co2 is such a large component of a high light planted tank. It will definitely take your tank to the next level and this shows it. Great job Glen! Thanks Ryan. And it is a huge component and is needed or in its absence can become the limiting factor for growth and health.

And these plants get there ferts mostly from the water column. So in this case liquid fertilizer would be best once a week after your water change. Seachem flourish is the brand and product I highly recommend.
