so as you know i like to use wild found rocks, sand, and driftwood in my tank. occasionally i find strange bugs in my tank that usually are not harmfull or are easy to kill. for a while now i've been meaning to post about the water lice/flea's that like to live on the floating driftwood and stay out of the water. there litte tiny white oval bugs with 2 tiny entenie (sp) on there heads that when placed in water float an jump on the top of the water like fleas. these little buggers dont bother my fish none and i often find my fish trying to eat them when i try to drown them they are not bothering me none and are fun to watch jump around. But i must ask if anyone else has had these in there tank. or know exactly what they are? i have not found any info on web about these guys that live out of the water but a lot about ones that live in the water. either way my fish dont mind and i dont mind. now i wonder if my future newts will mind :/

If they are moving across the surface of the water, they sound like cheese skimmers, fungus gnats or even white fly often associated with moist environments. can you take a picture and post it so we can get a better look at them. I deal with all kinds of pests on a daily basis as I work in the pest management industry.
