Hi Guys, I recently upgraded to pressurized Co2 with a Milwaukee regulator and pH monitor. I'm trying to set the bubbles pre second but it seems in order to get through the Glass boyu diffuser I have I need to have a lot of pressure just to make it through the ceramic disk. This could be an obvious answer, that I shouldn't by cheap diffusers of eBay but before I spend the extra money has anyone used any of the more expensive diffusers (like Green leaf) and been able to use lower pressure and still get the diffusion into the tank. Additionally I should mention that I have gotten rid of the led lights I was using and got myself an Aquaticlife 4 bulb t5 with 3 stage timer and individual reflectors , super excited to see how my tank responds to these new additions. Here is the diffuser I'm using now. www.ebay.com/itm/Boyu-CO2-Diffuser-/260928974515Thanks Everybody, Mitch

That is actually normal with many methods of co2 diffusion. I had an inline atomizer and would have to keep the pressure at around 35-40psi to push through the ceramic
However, that is honestly a little weird that it takes that much with a glass diffuser but its not unheard of. Just make sure you have real co2 resistant tubing and it will never blow off the diffuser due to pressure.
As you said the reason is definitely because it was a cheap ebay one, not that it wont work or be effective but higher end glass diffusers would never take that much to push through but even a high end atomizer would.
Also good call on the t5s they're still better than leds for planted tanks

Thanks, I've got it pretty well figured out now, had a small leak along the line which was causing the issue. I need to still to get a steal check valve and co2 resistant tubing. I couldn't be happier with the results from the new equipment. Basically all my plants are pearling and just overall looking better.

Glade to hear that you figured out the problem, also that you are happy with the results of the new equipment.
