I've tried searching around looking for wood that I can convert into driftwood, anyone have luck with certain species of wood around Windsor, recommendations?
I've tried a few but I can't even tell what species they are just if they are hard or soft.
Usually I just boil them to get the tannins out and hopefully kill everything on them, then just pin them down with a rock or something.

I'm heading out to BC on Sunday actually and plan to look for some manzanita wood while there, not likely since it is typically on the south west coast but maybe I'll get lucky and ship some home.
