So at the end of last summer I attached a small piece of narrow leaf java fern to the bottom disc of a clay pot. The disc is 6 inches across and the little plant was attached with drop of super glue and nothing else. Now 9 months later I have large beautiful fern that has cover the entire disc and it starting grow outside of it and has firmly attached itself. I find this very useful as the plant can be moved when needed but can be sat down on the substrate without being buried in the substrate which of course would kill it. I am using it for fry cover in a guppy tank. I think I might make more of these.
