Just finished reading this book and would say it is one of the best planted aquarium books on the market. Diana uses scientfic concepts and applies them to things we deal with in the aquarium, then backs it all up with scientific literature. I don't know about you but I find that the hobby is riddeld with false claims based off other experiences, Diana actually proves things right or wrong through he out scientific trials or research done in a similier mannor.
The books has a lot of scientific concepts that may be hard for people without a scientific backround to get first read through but I assure you its worth the work.
This book is more so for the low tech, dirted aquarium and will allow you to have a planted tank with almost no effort.
I followed here methods for my low tech tank and at this moment its my favorite tank.
My only critisism is that she tends to reach at times trying to apply other research projects to prove her point, which doesn't always work. I would say her chapters on allelopathy and bacteria are her two best.
I got it off amazon for 35 bucks but you may be able to find it cheaper somewhere else
