Hello All,
Our June meeting went very well with 24 people showing up to see Larry Johnson's presentation on African Cichlids. His knowledge was incredible and it was outstanding to hear from someone who has actually been to and dove in lake Malawi 14 times! All the pictures in Larry's presentation were taken by him and his diving group! We thank him for making the trip from Hamilton and wish him good luck on his 15th trip to Africa in September.
Thank you to all those who donated to our auction and raffle. Thanks to Aqua Animania for your generous donation of Brine Shrimp and Blood Worms!
Congrats to Steve and Jason for showing your cichlids in the Bowl Show and having them judged by someone as knowledgeable as Larry.
Hope to see you all next month!
-Ryan President of the Windsor Aquarium Society

Great presentation, incredible that all those photographs were taken by Larry himself. Also I am glad I placed for my first time showing fish, unfortunately I didn't stand a chance against Steve's incredible cichlids haha. Thanks everyone for coming out

I wish to thank everyone that came out also. The club appreciates all who donated to our raffle and club auction. We had many nice fish and plants this month. And of course thank you Larry for that wonderful talk on African Ciclids and was great to see them in the wild and here about your experiences with them.

Great to listen to Larry speak about his trips to Lake Malawi.. Really enjoyed the pictures and information he shared. It's great to see that in the wild their are people going to great lengths to protect the future of these species of fish. Nice to see some familiar faces again along with some new ones. Look forward to the next meeting...
