So I've been heavily stalling on this, and it's getting late in the decision making process. I'm moving on Friday, and currently have a normal 55 and a quarter pie 45 set up. The 55 only has a few el-cheapo fish from Petsmart left + a bulldog pleco, the sole survivors of some mystery ailment that ravaged that tank. They're not in great shape, but are doing OK. The 45 has 5 African Cichlids (2 ice blues, 1 electric yellow, 1 rusty, 1 random hybrid) and 2 Synodontis Cats of indeterminate origin (from research, they seem to be some sort of hybrid).
The problem I face is the new house only has about 1 room that would be good to fit a tank. I want to keep the catfish, and build a tank around them. Just not 100% sure what to do with the others. I can't imagine the little guys in the 55 are desirable to anyone (nor would I recommend adding them to an established tank because of mystery illness), and the cichlids might be of interest to someone. How do I get rid of these fish, while letting them continue on with their fishy lives? Anyone interested in taking in a few fosters? Haha.

I just saw this, but I hope you found homes for your fish. It sucks when your options seem limited. We are shutting down a 55 so I feel your pain. Hope the move was smooth and went well.

Wow sorry I missed this post as well, hopefully you were able to find them a home. Normally if you post in the "for sale" section and add the word "FREE" someone can help you out. As for moving fish, I recently had to do that too and it's not fun. Had a few casualties due to my own stupidity but you always have to learn right. Hope it all worked out and give us an update when you can. Cheers!
