Hello Everyone,
We have been talking about doing a large event for Windsor Aquarium Society members and we have narrowed it down to 3 which we believe can be accomplished within a reasonable time. We would like your input, please bare in mind there will be costs associated with these events (to both the club and potentially those wanting to particpate) and that they will be open to all WAS members.
The 3 ideas we were thinking of are:
1.) A group bus trip to aquarium stores in the Greater Toronto Area
2.) Getting a major speaker and doing a dinner type event
3.) Holding an auction (this one will require more time)

Would like a bus trip with fellow fish keepers.
An auction would be nice but I wonder if this area as a whole would support one well enough. The one thing that works for us here is there are 4-5 good auctions put on in Michigan, then everything else is east of London. I don't know what support we would get from people outside of this area in buyers but also breeders to supply. We can attend the Michigan auction with very little limitations on what we can bring back. The same can't be said for any US fishkeepers and this would limite any coming over. Don't get me wrong, would really enjoy seeing one local and helping out.
Just my 2 cents

I couldn't agree more and it's something that we struggle with . At the same time at some point we will have to give it a try and see what happens . We are lucky to live where we do to be able to take advantage of the U.S. auctions .
Thanks for your input , it's always appreciated .
