Java fern went for $7.00 if I recall correctly.
The Indian Almond Leaves are used to naturally soften the water for fish or shrimp!

Indian almond leaves are also a good provider of tannens. Not certain how much they leech on their own, but I've got them in with leeching driftwood and my tank gets pretty dark between water changes. Personally, I love it, and the inhabitants seem pretty happy overall.

How much did the java fern sell for ? And what are Indian Almond leaves used for ? Java Fern sold for $12 and Indian almond leave sold for $3. Looks like Gabe and Xander have explained the use of the Indian almond leaves well. I know many people use them with betta's and shrimp especially.I have personally used them with shrimp. The shrimp feed off the bio film on them as they break down.
