Rummynoses are laying eggs, will attempt to collect some when I have time as I'd love to see a large school of these span a 4ft tank.

Congrats on the spawns! Would that be one of the young ram females we got from Finatics?

Congrats on the spawns! Would that be one of the young ram females we got from Finatics? No, I'm waiting until they get a bit bigger before having them breed. They are paired but I've separated the pairs and conditioning them. I don't want them to get stressed out with the male chasing them during courting. Right now, the young male is chasing the heck out of one of my older females. I think he really likes her, lol. With Rams and Apistos, it's usually better if the male is young and the female a little older since the males are kind of rough with the chasing.

I see! Well I was kind of surprised when I saw your post! I was thinking that the females were a wee bit young yet!

I see! Well I was kind of surprised when I saw your post! I was thinking that the females were a wee bit young yet! I'm not sure if they are too young to breed, I just don't want to stress them out yet. The male of the trio from finatics is guarding some eggs as of this morning, he paired up with one of my older rams. So far, the other pair didn't have a successful spawn, none of the eggs hatched as far as I know. They will learn, hopefully. So currently have 2 pairs breeding... would like to see some fry in the future!

Well it seems like my celestial peril danios like the bucket pond I set up for them. I just spotted about 8-10 fry of all different ages.
In the same bucket I have some yellow albino guppies, and just got 2 very small fry from them as well.
Also my original White Cloud Mountain minnows are doing great with a few dozen of fry on their own.
