Very nicely done . What size tank is that so I can get a better feel of it ? Also what livestock are you planning on adding ?

Thanks! 75g. Lots of fish (and coral) in the basement - still not sure what is coming up

Nice rock work! Did you glued the rocks together? Is there a base layer of rocks under the sand for support in case something decides to dig?

Thanks! 75g. Lots of fish (and coral) in the basement - still not sure what is coming up Let us know what does not come up, and we "help" you with them! As long as they are not zoas, or palys! Had enough if them for a while!

Will do! The Z&P are what I miss the most - may even wear gloves next time I frag though.
Never cycled a tank before - I think about 1/2 the rock was live before going in, so hopefully I can start slowly stocking soon.

Tank update: haven't had much of a cycle (wasn't sure what to expect - most sand was new, about 1/2 rock was live, 1/2 fresh). A little diatoms, but not bad and only for a couple of days.
Been adding a little bit of fish and coral in. I suppose I could test the water, but I neeeever test and my kits are probably 5 years expired anyway.
So far: green monti, palys, shrooms, Kenya tree all seem OK. 5 hermits running around in the display - thought they may pick at the diatoms. All good. In the sump are 3 chromis and a bangaii (in the sump since I don't want to catch them out of the display if I decide against them keeping them in there).
Time to make some final decisions on live stock and then start getting them in there!

Thanks for the update! I was wondering about the cycle! Did not think you would have any!

Had some success catching stuff out of the frag tank last night! Was slow going, but caught and relocated: yellow watchman goby, clown goby, royal gramma (epic battle) and serpent sea starfish.
Getting there. A few decisions still to be made (one or two tangs and which ones, chromis or bangais, flasher wrasse or mandarin....)

You got the watchman out of your sump without tearing down? As well as the royal gramma? That is lucky! Did you use a trap, or just net them?! I can't even walk by the tank and not have the gramma hide in her rock! What kind of tangs are you thinking of? Also didn't you have a dragonet eaten by a a coral already? I thought it was you! Are flasher wrasses hide in the substrate as well?

It was a fair bit of work last night to catch them - hands, sticks, nets, lights out...all the stops. Clown goby is already stuck in the overflow...grrrrrrr
Thinking of: yellow, blue hippo, power blue, powder brown, naso...maybe a foxface instead of two tangs. Maybe only one tang. Not sure yet.
Ya, my mandarin got eaten by a anemone in the frag tank. Flashers may burry at night, but I think they are out and about during the day.
