Hi!!
Just about ready to start putting plants into my tanks and wondering if anyone has excess plants they want to get rid of/donate to my tanks?
Both tanks are freshwater....I'm not familiar with plants for aquariums other than java so if you know what would work and want to get rid of some please keep me in mind ☺

Hey Patty!
What type of substrate do you have in the tanks. That will be a determining factor in which type of plants should you start with!

Wow that is great you are not limited at all! I have a few crypts that would be good! Also got a few chain swords for foreground plant!

2nd determining factor would be lighting. What type of lights do you have on the tank? Different plant types very in lighting requirement low, medium or hight light plants

Hi Keith! One tank has an led light and other fluorescent Have to be a little more specific, LED on a 52 gal tank usually low light! Unless it is something for plants specifically. Make and model would be good to have. The fluorescent light, is it stock with the tank? T8 or T5? 6500K? T8- is 3/4" thick, T5- is 1/2" thick. Also it would be written on the bulb if it is 6500K. Sorry for all the questions, however it will greatly help with plant selection! |
