He's looking a bit stressed this morning. .. looks tired. I may pull him tonight after work. Ive had males eat fry when they get overwhelmed. I mean, he's still pacing the tank, but he's kinda letting them spill out everwhere... and not keeping them in a tight bunch. Babies should be free swimming tonight or tomorrow, so If i can distract him for a few seconds, ill pull him out. The first two weeks of a bettas life though is very important. As their labyrinth organ is developing. And air temp/water temp must not fluctuate too much. a cool draft can stunt the development of that organ. So if you're going to pull him, do it asap... or after 2weeks. I believe, from experience, he wont behave for that long. Ill have a better idea tonight.

He was actually being REALLY GOOD when i got home today... actually scooping up bunches of fry (like a mouth brooder) and spitting the now free swimming fry out near safety when i was siphoning some melted hornwart with a turker baster... but.. I pulled him anyway, and dropped the water level down a bit, did a pretty good clean as fast as i can. . . And gave papa a nice helping of blackworms as he hasnt eaten in a few days.
