So this is my 2.5 gallon tank just full of java moss. But this is one tank I place guppies to give birth. The fry have many places to hide and they can stay in there for a few weeks to grow out a bit before i move them to a 5 gallon tank. And there is also a marina outside tank breeder box hanging off that tank for females guppies or platies to drop there fry also. And note those breeder boxes are great as there hooked to a air pump and fresh water constant pumped in and old out thru the breeder box. There are currently guppy fry in the 2.5 and a expecting platy in the breeder box Attachments:

I'd like to learn more about that breeder box. I like the constant fresh water idea, and that its outside the tank.

Well it works like a power filter in a sense. You attached to a air pump and fresh water is sucked up the intake and once at the top there adjustment to angle the flow either straight down or to the left or right. The box fills up and then flow out the down spout on the other end. There is two grate blocking the outflow so no fry flow into the tank and there or to and removable sizes. It has a lid with a center hole for feeding so you don't have to worry about your fish jumping out. There is removable v shaped bottom to have fry slide thru out of harms way. I add small pieces of java moss not only for added protection for new fry but always to help calm the mother and give her a place to hide. There made out of tough acrylic thick and tough. And also it comes in 3 size small medium and large depending of your needs. The one in the picture is a medium. I think I covered everything. If you have any more questions just ask happy to answer.
