To the winners of loaches today: I forgot to mention that the loaches that I gave away today have been in quarantine since April so they are good to go into your aquariums

Thank you for coming out, I couldn't be a more pleased loachaphile as I am today~
I drip-acclimated the Striatas and they've been busy exploring the caves and driftwood, and causing a stir among the kuhlis all day. Displaced the larger kuhlis from their favourite hangout under the sponge filter! I temporarily relocated the shrimp that I had in that tank too, until the zebras can go to the 75g.
I'll definitely give you the occasional progress report!

Thanks Zenins. It was a very interesting talk on Loaches, also great pictures and video. I managed to catch the Yoyo,s and they are all together now in the same tank.

Really disappointed I missed it! I have presented it to the Chatham, Sarnia and London clubs already, so maybe someday I will present it at one of the Detroit club meetings

The presentation was great, and there was something new for you too with the laptop not cooperating 100%. One of the Negro Lineatus has a really interesting pattern! It looks like it has circles of lighter colour above the black line. They are enjoying their new home. They took up residence under a driftwood and if they are out they go flying through the 20 gal long tank they are in. Very fast swimmers, you must had a hard time caching them!

Yeah, when I got home, the laptop setup said I had only one screen, but when I was presenting it said I had two ... I think the projector somehow made the laptop think there were two screens ? Anyways, I was able to do my presentation Regarding the circles above the black line on the Lineatus, it could be the related dwarf chain loach that I showed in the presentation. Both species look very similar when small, they will swim happily together, enjoy them If you ever see either in a fish store, buy at least 3 more, they are most fun when in a large group. I have 9 dwarf chain loaches in a 30 gallon and 6 lineatus in a 25 gallon ... constant action
