I have just gotten a breeding pair of silver angels and a half dozen three spot Gourami's and would really appreciate help ensuring a happy healthy environment for them. Need help with proper diet and what I should and shouldn't have in the tank. Hiding places or not? These are beautiful fish and would really like to ensure they grow and prosper. Ive done lots of research but getting mixed signals. IE: diet, temp etc....
Thanks.

If you want to breed the angels, they will need their own tank. Regular water changes are a must as nitrates have to be kept low. As far as food goes, any quality flake will be accepted by angels. They also like brine shrimp and bloodworms as treats. They usually don't eat pellets unless they were raised and trained to eat them.
Maybe someone else can chime in on 3 spot Gouramis. I know they can be aggressive towards each other but I think aside from that, they are rather easy to keep. I've never had a group of them, usually 1 or 2.

As always the group members are so helpful. Much appreciated.

Oh, and temperature for Angels can be anywhere from 75-82 degrees. I keep mine around 80.

As far as a good diet I think most fish do very well with "FDBW" (freeze dried black worms) from angel fins, surprisingly they are the most affordable online (including US suppliers). You will see your fish put on weight and flip out to devour them. Also zero problems with constipation, etc. Also, get the cube kind, you can stick it to the inner glass and they love tearing it off and eating it that way, plus it helps keep the tank cleaner as well.

I need to know what fish tank do you have. According to my fifty five gallon fish tank, there are angel fish, Cherry Barbs, Guppies, Mollies etc. But I like angelfish and it looks beautiful by adding this in my aquarium.
