I love sand but don't usually like to use it with live plants. Has anyone tried Fluval Black Sand?

I believe Glenn may have tried it?

Its pretty expensive so if anyone has had some experience with it, I would love to know first.

The sand you might be thinking of is the Fluorite sand I am trying out right now.
