Well that is a loaded question! I guess it depends on what kind of tank you had in mind. Do you think you will have corals in the future? for instance the red hawkfish, and the clown goby loves to sit on corals, which will get very annoyed by this, and never open up completely! A tail spot goby is very beautiful however they hide a lot!!! Any angel will outgrow a 35 gal tank. They need a huge body of water to feel safe!!! there are a few pygmy or dwarf angels that I would recommend. There is the rusty, pygmy, lemon, false lemon, potters, coral beauty and the fire. Most people will get bored with the clowns. they are essentially just hang out in whatever they host and do not move further than few inches from that spot. I would also stay away from fire fish, they are very pretty but jumpy as hell! You will loose all of them for jumping out of the tank!
Also if you decide to go with any angel fish as the centrepiece add them to the tank last! They are very territorial. if they are in there first they will think the whole tank is their territory and anything else is prey!!!
hope this helps!
