I have driftwood in most of my tanks but after them being in the tanks for years they have lost their tannins. I also have alder cones and mini capappa leaves but what does everyone else use to add tannins to the water?

I have used coconut husk, indian almond leaves, red oak leaves, peat moss, as well as store bought backwater extract. I found that the cox husk released the most tannins in the water and did not have to replace it that often! I did not check any of the "parameters" of the water while I was using it, I just really like the look!

I got a sampler from tannins. I have to say I'm pretty excited to get these in my tanks
