I picked up 3 plants labeled as cryptocoryne aponogetafolia, from the CAOAC convention auction: These plants have long pettioles and long leaves (only about 3/4" wide) that originate from the previous leaf sheath, so an alternating leaf pattern. So I was thinking possibly another crypt species like balansae. My original plant also picked up from CAOAC auction ,2016 in London, looked similar to the aponogetafolia I have had in the past leaves are 1 1/2" wide with very long pettioles that originate from individual leaf sheaths Here is a leaf comparison What do you think Glenn?

I have crypt aponogetafolia here the plant your showing is different. I am not entirely sure what you have on your hands there. The previous owner may have bought it incorrectly labeled as well from a auction. As I don't recognized the species. Identifying crypts can be tricky and as most serious crypt keepers will tell you the only real way to identify a crypt is by its flower. So you could attempt to flower it or down to some serious identification research. I have spent many hours trying to figure out what some mystery plants were in the past through both internet and books.
