I have a 90 gallon community tank, aquaclear 110 hob filter and a decent size sponge filter. The filters are cleaned regularly and water changes are done weekly of 30%. The stocking is several fancy guppies,a pair of simple danios. A regular bristle nose pleco and an albino bristlenose pleco. also there is a red tail shark. I DID have several ghost and cherry shrimp in the tank but the numbers have dwindled over the last few months. My question is this....I can't seem to get the guppies to produce babies like they used to. would something be eating the babies? I tested the water and everything is right were it should be.
Wondering if the red tail is snacking. Any thoughts?

Hello Fishiando!
Do you have a sponge on the intake of the hob filter? A 110 AQ is more than strong enough to suck up the newborn guppys. Also they would make easy pickings for red tail shark. My danios also will eat anything they can fit in their mouth, including smaller shrimps! So I would think that your guppy fry just getting eaten. Do you have any plants in the tank where the fry can hide? if not I would suggest some Java moss and other dense plants where the fry can hide and other fish would not be able to get them!
Hope this helps1 Gabe
