It's easy if you follow the simple rules.... maintain consistent water chem... Most importantly temp, salinity, alkalinity, nitrates, pH. Keep those super stable and you won't have problems.
Use RODI water only (don't be cheap here).
Most importantly TAKE YOUR TIME.
Also, please research the animals you are buying in detail and try to select them from sustainable sources.

You may want to look into a auto top off system for freshwater. When the water evaporates from you tank the salt stays behind wich mean if your not on top of it constantly you'll end up with and unable salinity levels. But an "ato" will iliminate that problem. You just keep an extra 5g bucket or anything that can hold freshwater and the ato will keep your freshwater supply under control.
