Hello everyone! Today I purchased two Manzanita wood pieces from Mitch. I had this deal in the works with him for a couple of months, so I had time to think about what I would like to do with them! With that in mind, a few weeks ago I ordered a couple of different mosses from Aqua Animania. Also last year, on an auction I purchased a 7 gal. glass globe, that I wanted because it was different. Now I have everything to set up a cool looking shrimp tank! I started by attempting to attach the Christmas moss to the wood first. So I grabbed some super glue gel and started glueing the moss. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180311/f488aaee977c87731d6b682c28fab61c.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180311/7acd2eddda6b49c53f5468558290a0d1.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180311/632851e13fa0364fb091ee1c2a4ad4b4.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180311/0ca168fadc30944f5fe76db249da0cc7.jpg) However since Mitch had the wood out of water, they were dried out and would float in the globe tank. Therefore I needed to find a place for them to soak them! So one of the branches with Christmas moss went in my cardinal tetra tank. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180311/2961dbe0745bb192abb296109b3d6a93.jpg) And the other with African water fern and spiky moss went in the river tank. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180311/dfc84df602bad4b2b2d5c35e309263c8.jpg) I’m planning on keeping these in the current location for at least a month or so, while the moss and the fern attaches properly, and the shrimp grow up!!!! Oh I did not mentioned that I have blue diamond, and green babaulti shrimp just hatched, and those will go in the globe tank!

Well done Gabe and informative thread. This is the way I do it also, and in time the moss will creep up and cover nearly all the branches. Certainly a great look and of course the fish love it.
