Does look like a good hatch rate. Also shows us that the eggs can be stored longer than I ever though.

Here’s a picture of my trio of Sturisomatichthys aureus , the Royal farlowella . These came from fellow member Jason Salisbury who donated them to one of our monthly auctions . Another example of gems you can find in the clubs monthly auctions . These guys are always out and about now and are eating like champs . The tank their in now only has a handful of gravel as a substrate . I think I’m going to move them to a species only tank with a sand substrate in the near future.

Absolutely gorgeous fish! Unfortunately very underapriciated species! Lots of people think they are algae eaters, and they end up underfeeding the poor fish. Great job Les with these guys! They look very healthy, happy and fat.

They look very healthy, happy and fat. Your right , these guys love Tetramin Tabs ( unfortunately they don’t sell these in Canada because one of the ingredients is banned ) . Also love shrimp pellets , soon to try freeze dried black worms lol

Here’s a picture of a rare crypt I also got from Jason at our last club Auction . It’s Cryptocoryne usteriana . As many know crypts are notorious for melting when their environment is changed . This one did just that , totally melting away . But they usually come back without an issue as this one did . Got it at the Jan 13th meeting and in a matter of three weeks it totally melted and has produced its first new leaf .

Crypts are resilient plants. Grown emersed, they flower. Good progress Les!

Beautiful fish and being a crypt fan, I hope it grows large strong and reproduces for you.
