Do you use API salt in the main tank? I do with my all my Cichlids tanks 1/tbs per 5 gallons of water. I think it really help with slime coat and aids in damaged fins

Tank stand is really nicely refurbished. Great job on that. I also refurbish tanks and find many tanks others think look awful or are going to be tossed out can be refurbished very nicely with a bit or work.
Also I'm a huge believer in aquarium salt as it has helped me avoid many issues and keeps my fish in great health for years and years. The build up of there slime coat protects from many things and keep your fish happy and healthy. And great job on the fish rescue taking the time and effort for a bit of rehab goes a long way. ππ

Since salt does not evaporate out of water, I only add what is lost after water changes. Example I take out 6 gallons of water and I add 3 teaspoons of salt to the new water. Now everyone doses salt in there own way for there needs. This is just how I do it and it works very well for me.
